Acidity occurs when there is excess secretion of acids in the gastric glands of the stomach.
When the secretion is more than usual, we feel, what is commonly known as heartburn.
It is normally triggered off by consumption of spicy foods.



The food we eat goes into our stomach through the esophagus. The gastric glands in your stomach create acid, which is necessary to digest the food.



When the gastric glands create more acid than needed for the digestion process, you can feel a burning sensation below the breastbone.



This condition is commonly known as acidity.

Acidity, also called acid reflux, is a condition that is characterized by heartburn that is felt around the lower chest area.

Remedies For Acidity


1. Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead.

9. Excessive smoking and drinking will increase acidity, so cut down.
10.Ginger aids in digestion. Either buy powdered ginger in capsule forms or add the herb to your recipes.
11. A simple preparation of lemon water with sugar can be sipped on an hour before lunch to reduce uneasiness.
12. Have vegetables like drumsticks, beans, pumpkin, cabbage, carrot and spring onions.
